Conversations In The Dark...
I try to get home from work before my kids go to bed.
I don't see them a whole lot during the week.
In the mornings for an hour.
Maybe less.
It's hard to be a Dad when you're always on the clock.
Always running here and there.
Never standing still.
I try to get home from work before my kids go to bed.
I tuck them in and we have conversations in the dark...

ReplyDeleteAdorable, just adorable!!! She's so creative and uninhibited. I love this age!!! They're unspoiled from the sadness that is fitting in with society and learning what is wrong and right with language. She's great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Do one with Sophie
ReplyDeleteThose conversations in the dark can be amazing! Yours was! You have one creative daughter and she sounds adorable.
ReplyDeleteso stinkin adorable. ruby is a genius. me thinks sophie wouldn't want to do rhymes, but perhaps something that involved screaming into a microphone.
ReplyDeleteand definitely no kisses.
This is so sweet and precious!
ReplyDeleteYesterday, she did some rhyming for me, too.
I was impressed.
Maybe, she can co-author with you for another book.
too cute. it all happens way too damn fast. when my kid was 3, she embarrassed the hell out of my at the store when she clearly articulated, "Mommy, can I please get it if I promised to be blessed and not entitled?" Nice.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wanted to tell you that I nominated you for The Versatile Blogger Award. If you're interested in claiming the honor/silly fun, please head over to my blog for the details! Thanks for the great site! - Kirsten
haha, what's a dicken? kids are awesome!
ReplyDeleteHaha. A lollipop, stickers, and a unicorn. What more could one need?
ReplyDeleteAs they say, you get to understand what makes parents do what they do when you become a parent yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou and your brother will always get unconditional love from me because I am your mom.
I will always be thrilled to see you when I do see you, with wide eyes or not. I marvel at my grown boys and at the amazing men they have become. I couldn't be prouder.
So, as long as I can, those hugs and kisses will always come forth when I see my handsome sons.
That's just the way it is...doing what comes naturally!
