Gone Fishing...

I'm not going to make a big deal out of this because it doesn't really deserve it.

Lately I've come to believe that one of the greatest flaws in the human character is that we all believe we are terminally unique.

In reality, we're just the same.

This is a good thing.

A beautiful thing.

I find comfort in it.

I feel so priviledged to have had the opportunity to speak to all of you for the last few years. Your kindness and support has been overwhelming. I'm not sure it's possible to express that in words.

For that, I want to sincerely thank you.

I just want to let you all know that I'm going to take a little break.

Not sure when or if I'll be back.

Respect.

Changes

From a frail pen flows this trickle of thoughts,
Not to be heard but seen,
But what can be seen of change,
For we ourselves are the ones who change,
That which we have done does not change,
But we change to do,
What we want to do.
Our change is at the mercy of every one else,
like a friend I thought I had understood,
But from familiarity rose contempt,
From contempt rose understanding.
Understanding gave rise to change...

  30. Get the fuck over yourself, get a fishing app or some shit, and get back here. NOW.

That didn't come out as sappy and meaningful as I wanted.

    Sorry.

    Sentimentality FAIL.

  33. David from Bella Daddy sent me here. I've known him since high school which is...a damn long time. I'm looking at your book and the organization you're donating the royalties to and I'm remembering my days working for the Starlight Children's Foundation back before it merged with the Starbright Foundation to become Starlight Starbright. And I'm wondering if any of the wonderful people I interacted with at the the NY-NJ-CT chapter remember me...Oh, and BTW I'm a published author too but not of children's books and I'm not nearly as wonderful as you, donating my royalties...although it feels like it as I put my 21 yr old daughter through college.

I just wanted to stop by and check out your blog and book because David speaks so highly of you and because of the oddly coincidental nature of your authorness and mine and how it connects to of all things a children's charity.

You go, dude! Your blog rocks. Your book rocks. And what you're doing with your royalties rocks. You're Epic and I commend you! No wonder David likes you so much. He's always been one to recognize quality.

    I'll be checking back...
